This always seems to go well… happy for returning to the yard and the horses… not too stressed by the work… the perfect combination!
We made a short review on the usual exercises: transitions trot / canter/ trot and walk/ canter / trot, worked the canter, shoulder in, haunches in and half pass.
I was very happy with the canter work… even if “very” far from perfect it went incomparably better than the last times I rode.
Also very pleased with the shoulder in… they really felt well today, managing to keep the horse always in a steady forward attitude!
We finished with a relaxing walk around the yard smiling to all the “horse eating monsters” that showed up in the way.
After the ride I had the opportunity to watch closely a typical yard task. The clipping of a lovely yard bred black foal that just got a brand new hair style! This lovely colt is just a pleasure to handle… what a nice fellow is he!
