So I guess I took almost a week to get down to Planet Earth since my trip to Planet Riding... and I still didn’t land as much as I should because I’m having such a hard time getting focused back in to the urban matters. I have horses cantering everywhere inside my head.
Besides the riding I have to say that revisiting Paris was absolutely fantastic!!! Really enjoyed being there this time, with the weather as good as it can be in November and without many tourists! It was really nice and I returned with recharged batteries.
The 4 Ecoles show was great! It was a thrilling and unforgettable experience even if the horses weren’t 100% perfect… but nor they or the riders are robots so we all have “days”!
Another fantastic moment was interviewing the Escola Portuguesa Head Master, Dr. Filipe Graciosa who was the mentor of the 4 Ecoles Show. It was so interesting hearing his thoughts about the show and the Escola. I wish I had the time to ask him all I want to know! I’ll publish here the interview as soon as I have it translated.
Also met my riding instructor that was also performing on the show and he really made my day by letting me lay an eye on the backstage stables and all those gorgeous horses… I just loved it!!!
…after this I was in horses Heaven! (Sometimes I feel like 15 years old again)
The day after… following the equestrian extravaganza weekend I went to Versailles to watch the Academie du Spetacle Equestre!
I really enjoyed the performance there, very artistic and peaceful even if there were some moments that I though it were totally unnecessary like the girls singing while riding and a lousy attempt of archery.
The cremello Lusitano stallions were gorgeous, and the girls really match with them… who wouldn’t?? The riding isn’t outstanding but is discrete and much better than I hoped.
They have an absolute original performance at the end with loose colts in the arena, which was a real pleasure watching… aesthetically is very strong and emotive!
And after these two equestrian events, like Cinderella at midnight, I transformed myself back in to a regular Paris tourist and spend the rest of the days delighted with everything good the city has to offer!
…we can get addicted to a life like this!
And now… a BEST OF from the 4 Ecoles d´Art Equestre Performance in pictures.

Thanks for the pics. they are stunning. I do not why? maybe because the back ground is balck, but I find them more moving than Sonora's ones on EE ???
Thanks a lot.
Do you know if they will do it again, if it had been such a success???
I guess the French were better for jumping than flat work :-)
Hi Muriel,
I´m happy you liked them! I took them with my soul... they are really special to me!
I like the french school very much! They are so happy... I also would like to jump over a table on a pink mane horse! I really really like them!!!
I think that there is a good possibility of they making the 4 Schools show again but not very soon! I believe they are publishing a book and DVD about them.
